Catfish Blues Postcard

This image of an abandoned boat was taken on a very foggy day at Long Cove near the small fishing community of West Pennant in the Atlantic province of Nova Scotia, Canada. It was named "Cat Fish Blues" because it looks like the boat had jumped out of the water, and because of the feeling of sadness or loneliness it invoked in me. The image was originally shot in colour, but due to the thick fog the colour was quite muted, so I converted it to black and white using Photoshop, and then added a bit of texture via filters to give it a more vintage feel.
