A cat dressed in a beautiful red, blue and black kimono rests her left paw on the head of an octopus. She may be planning a meal, and the octopus does not look happy. Unfortunately I can't read the text -- I will try to find someone who can help me with it. (My Japanese is 4th-grade level.)
Utagawa Kuniyoshi (ca. 1797 - April 14, 1861) was one of the last great masters of the Japanese ukiyo-e style of woodblock prints and painting and belonged to the Utagawa school.
