These are bit brace auger bits. These have been around for a long time and can still be used today, provided you hack the end off. Old school woodworkers and cabinet makers may still use these. They create nice holes and have some large sizes, plus they don't catch as hard as more modern bits can. Looking for POSTERS of this or any of these designs? I was extremely happy to find a tree ornament for my Occupational Therapist daughter. (I bought one a few years ago for my Paramedic son) & prior to seeing this I was trying to work out how I could create something similar for her.
