Caribbean Two-Spot Octopus Beach Towel

Octopods are one the most intelligent sea creatures on earth. They use tools and are quite the escape artists! The Caribbean Two-Spot Octopus is a nocturnal predator and hunts fish, shrimp and crabs at night. Octopods are found all over the world, (except the Antarctic Ocean). This particular species lives in warmer waters around the Caribbean and in the western Atlantic Ocean. Most octopods, (this one included), use chromatophores, (special colour changing skin cells), to hide from eels and sharks, (their most feared predators). They also have a special 'ink' gland that releases an irritating inky liquid to help mask their escape.
