Cardinal John Henry Newman Tissue Paper

This design features a painting by the English artist Sir John Everett Millais, who was one of the founders of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. It depicts the English theologian and religious scholar John Henry Newman, who started out as an Anglican priest and later became a Catholic priest and cardinal. John Henry Newman was canonised as a saint in the Catholic Church in 2019. Newman's beatification was proclaimed by Pope Benedict XVI in 2010 during his visit to the United Kingdom.
