Candy Star Quadragram Sandstone Coaster

Using the KPT filter and fractal generator, “FraxPlorer”, I created the base image from which this work of art was derived. Like so many of my works of art, I created it with a combination of filtering, layering, and colour enhancement effects in Photoshop. Out of these procedures, which has lately taken on a rather Zen like character, Candy Star Quadragram emerged. It is just one of the Candy Star series. There is something about the colours and forms in this series that remind me of the ripple hard candy I once enjoyed as a kid. The pieces in this series also have a rather star burst like quality, thus the name Candy Star.
