Canadian Flag On Inner Birch Bark Desk Name Plate

A digital recreation of Canada's national flag formed by carefully scraping off the reddish outer surface on the reverse side of birch bark to reveal the lighter, yellowish layer beneath. This is a traditional craft among Native Americans/First Nations across the northern United States and Canada. Add your name or other text; perhaps, "Happy Canada Day!". I do not claim to be a Native artist. Having lived in the North much of my life I appreciate the many uses of the Birch (Betula spp.) and find the technique simulated on this image to be very beautiful.
