Sunflowers originated in North America and were cultivated by indigenous people for food, oil, and medicine. Spanish explorers brought them to Europe in the 16th century where they became ornamental plants. Russia began growing sunflowers commercially in the 18th century, primarily for oil. In the late 19th century, Russian immigrants brought sunflower seeds to the US where they quickly became popular for oil and birdseed. Sunflowers are now widely grown in the US, Russia, and Ukraine. They are a popular symbol of happiness and are associated with Vincent van Gogh's paintings.

I was a bit disappointed to find that for the price the puzzle was only a small 252 pieces ..... but ....... it is so intricate that if it was bigger I would be frazzled by now
bought as a special Christmas jigsaw for work colleagues to play with in our breaks - it is a great way to get the team to collaborate on something fun, and to start conversations between folk, and a great positive opportunity to provide compliments on the effort put in and progress being made
the puzzle itself is beautifully made - each piece feels lovely (not a cheap cardboard puzzle) and the shapes are all similar but different
Still a work in progress after a week - it's great!!!!
a truly lovely thing ... it will come out each year - both at work and at home. great image, and fantastic finish on the pieces
