    Colourized photo from 1915 Original Title: DD Collins Location: 1400 7th Street NW, Washington DC In the land of meat, where you can get any cut you want, house brand lard, and some fresh sausages. Best not to visit on a hot day, they do have a refrigerated case, but I'm certain some of it gets kind of rank by the end of the day. This is DD Collins, he bought two spaces in the O Street Market, a market built in 1881. And this is what you would typically find in a butcher of this era, meat arranged on a table in piles, sawdust on the floor to soak up blood, and a number of fans to help disperse the smell.
