Edwin Megargee (1883-1958) is the artist that created this wonderful Bulldog painting. He was known for his paintings, illustrations and etchings. Dog paintings classified as vintage, retro or nostalgia represent fragments of a lost past and show us how different many of these dogs appear when compared to current examples of their breeds. Over the years, I have become a collector of dog prints and treasure every one for different reasons and it is this passion for dog art that has inspired my vintage dog products. The Bulldog is gentle, friendly, and adoring, with a mischievous dose of stubbornness, the English Bulldog is incessantly loyal to its family. It usually gets along well with other animals, is particularly fond of children, and does best indoors. Highly spirited as a puppy, the English Bulldog grows up to be a calm adult. The breed prefers not to exercise, can easily overheat, and is prone to drooling and snoring. They are one of the most popular breeds currently ranking #8 on the AKC's most popular dog list. The Bulldog may be brindle, white, red, fawn, fallow or piebald. A great gift for you or any Bulldog lover.

The experience buying from Zazzle was great -- the custom made product arrived much faster than I expected (I am in Australia) and they kept me updated with progress emails.
The product itself is good quality and I like the simplistic elegant design. The only criticism I have is that it's not really accurately represented by the picture provided. I thought that the mousepad would be a non-porous or laminate surface and as such the gold writing would actually shine against the soft pink. However the design is printed on a thick fabric surface, so the gold colour is just the shade of gold but doesn't stand out from the pink background. (See picture)
FYI the soft pink is stronger in real life than in my personal picture. Good quality printing, slightly different look to what I expected. It also smells quite strong on arrival but it's only been a day so this may fade.
