Albert Bierstadt was born in Germany, but his family moved to the US when he was a small boy. He studied art in both countries as an adult. Bierstadt was a popular painter from the Hudson River School. He travelled west with government land surveyors and brought back sketches that became some of his large detailed landscape paintings.

Very lovely cards and quality overall. Arrived from overseas in a very reasonable time. Printing on edges look a little blurred or like the print smudged. Gloss paper, font and size turned out lovely and vibrant.
