A photograph of Bridgeport Covered Bridge spanning the South Fork of the Yuba River near Bridgeport, California. The Bridgeport Covered Bridge is 233 feet long and was originally built as part of a toll road intended to serve the development of the Comstock Lode around Virginia City, Nevada. It is a Howe Truss bridge with an auxiliary arch. // The Bridgeport Bridge was built in 1862 to replace an earlier span that washed out in a flood. It was an integral part of the Virginia Turnpike, a heavily travelled route through the Sierras during the gold rush era. The bridge is significant as one of the longest single-span surviving covered bridges in the United States.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
