Breamore House - Thank You Card

Just a few years into my teaching career, a colleague and friend (and former art/graphics teacher) suggested that I try combining watercolour and fineliner pen in my artworks. This image, featuring 'Breamore House' in New Forest, Hampshire was one of my first attempts at combining the two media. The pen-work gave extra definition, texture and contrast. My friend had taken the photo that I based the artwork on when he and his wife were visiting Breamore House while on holidays in the UK and thought it would suit my style and love of fine, architectural details. Thanks to advancements in technology I have now freshened up the digital file to bring out the colours and highlights more. I hope you enjoy this artwork with its strong architectural features and rich colours.
