The quality of the watch is good. We will see how an athletic 5 year old child handles wearing this watch. I like the stainless steel dial for durability and waterproof for hand washing. My grandson has a long name, but it looks good on his watch. I like the outside numbers for telling time, but the inside numbers could be a bit bigger to help a beginner at telling time.
