His Pieta is his most famous and celebrated religious painting. Featuring the Virgin Mary holding the body of the crucified Jesus Christ, the painting is both moving and captivating. The Virgir looks forward as halos surround the heads of both her and her son. A chorus of mourning angels weep and grieve about her. At her feet sit the crown of thorns and a bronze bathing dish.

I was a bit disappointed to find that for the price the puzzle was only a small 252 pieces ..... but ....... it is so intricate that if it was bigger I would be frazzled by now bought as a special Christmas jigsaw for work colleagues to play with in our breaks - it is a great way to get the team to collaborate on something fun, and to start conversations between folk, and a great positive opportunity to provide compliments on the effort put in and progress being made the puzzle itself is beautifully made - each piece feels lovely (not a cheap cardboard puzzle) and the shapes are all similar but different Still a work in progress after a week - it's great!!!! a truly lovely thing ... it will come out each year - both at work and at home. great image, and fantastic finish on the pieces
