Boston Strong - In Memory Of April 15, 2013 T-Shirt

On April 15, 2013 my wife and I were visiting our daughter in Boston where she goes to school. We are from Texas and seldom get to visit. Since our daughter goes to school just a few blocks from the marathon finish line, we decided to go watch the famous event. We were far enough away from the terrorist bombings to not be injured, but still close enough to see that beautiful area turn into what looked like a war zone. It was surreal. I doubt I will ever get it all out of my head. What we witnessed is something that I pray no one should ever have to see. Living through the tragic event, and afterwards watching the brave people of Boston in their selfless efforts to care for wounded and tireless efforts to bring the guilty to justice, I was proud to be associated with them in some small way. After I got home, I found one of my vintage illustrations of Boston and added to it a very patriotic sunset. Boston is where American Patriotism began, and I can bear personal witness to the fact that patriotism is still alive and well there. I created this illustration in honour of those brave patriots of Boston who show the spirit of America like no other place I know.
