Bob's neighbour Ed tried to rush Bob to the hospital, but got stuck in a horrible traffic jam. Like, epic-ally horrible. So poor Bob didn't get to the hospital in time, and once they finally got there, it was shown that a bone-eating bacteria had already started in on what was left of him.
