A classic, traditional motif with a whimsical new twist! The re-imagined Blue Willow artwork on this mug features one of my "Isle of Animals" designs. This island scene is enlivened with floral - decorated tortoises and spotted turtles whales in the sea, flying phoenix birds, stylised trees, and a pagoda. My hand painted watercolor art looks like antique transferware. In timeless blue and white, it can be paired with any similarly-coloured dinnerware. Perfect for anyone who loves turtles, reptiles, wildlife, animals and nature, and is a great accent for crisp blue decor or chinoiserie patterned themes. The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee.
Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
