Blue, White Christmas Bird Winter Poem Delft Name Holiday Card

A wonderful poem by poet Oliver Herford (1863-1935) graces the front of this artistic unique card. "I heard a bird sing in the dark of December./A magical thing,/And sweet to remember./We are nearer to Spring than we were in September./ I heard a bird sing in the dark of December." My original artwork in dark blue and white, a bird, snail and butterfly in stylized foliage, is ornate and reminiscent of Delft or oriental Chinoiserie pottery. The inside sentiment is, "Season's Greetings" which makes this card appropriate for any winter occasion or even New Year's wishes.
