A Native American Indian warrior riding a horse and holding a spear. Blue Water Creek Battle was an engagement between U.S. soldiers under Brigadier General William S. Harney and the Brulé Sioux on September 2 and 3, 1855 along the Platte River in Garden County, Nebraska. This battle followed the "Grattan massacre", which occurred in August of 1854. About the artist: Alfred Jacob Miller (1810-1874) was an American painter best known for his Wild West paintings from the northwestern United States.

I then ordered the 6 additional ties and the colours are slightly different. The 6 ties were a little less vibrant and the white background was slightly different! .
