Shadowland Foundation's pack of ten Alaskan Timber Wolves serve as ambassadors for endangered wolves in the wild, with a mission to save wolves and -to "Educate not Eradicate". Featuring Wahkahn (meaning Sacred) who is our packs newest member. He is also a relative to our namesake Shadow and black wolf, just like her. The Apache say that the golden eyes of the wolf rise with the sun and teach us all day long. The black wolf is known as “the protector”. Fun wolf facts: Wolves are nocturnal hunters which accounts for the golden colour of their eyes. This special lens is like having night vision goggles. Wolves sit in the middle of our ecosystem and protect all living things; in fact they all flourish when wolves are present. Wolves have a very oily coat which helps protect them from the elements and keeps them clean. All proceeds from purchases help care for the pack and our ongoing wolf educational and outreach programs.
