Black & White Pattern Patchwork 05 Post-it Notes

"Patterns Run Amok, 5" is a part of a series of black and white whimsical designs featuring an outline drawn in black with a Wacom digital tablet. The outline's open sections are filled in with patterns. Circles, rings, squares, waves, zig zags, flowers and several retro pattern shapes are interspersed over the surface in an unpredictable array. When I'm not obsessed with creating art digitally, sometimes I use ink and paper to draw Zentangle and "Zentangle-Inspired Art". To be clear: this is NOT Zentangle nor ZIA however they deserve mention here because that art style is what inspired THIS digital art. Creating an outline "string" and filling each section in by drawing repeating patterns are the foundational steps for that other (more time-consuming!) art form and that's what I do here in this series as well. People who respond to ZIA may enjoy this as well. Black and white pattern fun fills the surface and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it!
