The bridle crest is a crest that is modeled after a bridle. The bridle is a tool that is placed in a horse's mouth, and is a transformed version of a muzzle, so it was also called 'Kutsubami' in the past. Typically, it has a cross shape inside a ring... and is called a 'cross bridle' (omitted). There are two types of bridle crests. One is a 'kake-kutsuwa' and the other is a cross-shaped bridle. Many of the original cross bridles were not modeled after bridles, but rather after crosses. However, during the Tokugawa period, Christianity was strictly prohibited, and it appears that many were changed to bridles to avoid suspicion. (from 'Japanese Crest Studies' by Noda Yusuke)

This product was fantastic can put much better than I was anticipating, I was expecting flyer paper but it came on the wonderful glossy front Matt back thick card paper, I am so happy with it. It’s small enough to fit into my wedding invitation envelopes and not crush anything either, but apart from my own spelling mistake I missed with doesn’t matter, it’s perfect. The print was excellent perfect and glossy no smudges in either side of the print, I am over the moon on how it turned out.
