If you are on the level the title needs no explanation brothers. This is an islamic nautical chart from the pages of an illuminated 17th century Koran. The map shows several Phoenician port cities, chiefly among them is the island city of Tyre. The original image is very small so I would not reccomend printing a larger version that what is listed here. If you have interest in a larger version please post a note on my store (PageOfHistory) and I will go about making a larger digital file. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
