Big Ben (Clock Tower), London: Big Ben is actually the common name for the great bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster, the British Houses of Pariliament, in London. Nowadays Big Ben is used to refer to the clock and the clock tower too. Over 150 years old, it is the largest four-faced chiming clock in the world and one of the most prominent symbols of both London and England. Designed by Augustus Pugin in Gothic Revival style to compliment Charles Barry's Neo-gothic style Palace, it is around 96m (315ft) high, which is about 16 stories.
