Biblical Tree of Life 17th Century Embroidery Poster
More than 350 years ago in Great Britian,this unique needlework image of the biblical Tree of Life was embroidered on canvas with silk thread. We have digitally enhanced the image of this miraculous tree which shows bearing numerous species of fruits and vegetables. The Book of Revelations describes a multifruiting tree that grows in the celestial City of God and bearing twelve types of fruit that ripen during every month of the year. The curling grape vine wrapping around the tree's trunk is said to be symbolic of the Passion of Christ and the promise of eternal life. It is suggested that the numerous animals (including a unicorn), birds and insects and the presence of the sun and the moon refer to the abundance of the Garden of Eden in the Book of Genesis.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
