  • Wash separately using mild detergent. Do not bleach. Do not use fabric softner

Berthe Morisot - The Cherry Picker Bath Mat

The Cherry Picker (Le Cerisier), begun in 1891 in oil on canvas by French Impressionist painter Berthe Morisot. The painting shows a young woman on a ladder gathering cherries while another figure holds a basket below. Julie Manet and her cousin Jeannie Gobillard modelled for early studies of the scene, but when Morisot resumed the large composition in Paris she replaced the often-unavailable Julie with the professional model Jeanne Fourmanoir, developing the subject through preparatory drawings and two large-format versions.
