Old photo of Marjorie Bertha Morgenstierne, daughter of Norway's Ambassador to the U.S. Wilhelm Morgenstierne, seated on a bear skin rug (a polar bear?) looking at a globe. According to a notification of her marriage published July 2, 1951, she also later became 'Miss United Nations of 1946'. Photo taken in 1938 by Harris & Ewing, photographer. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
