This design features a painting by the English-born artist Charles Conder (1868–1909), who worked mostly in Australia. It shows a beach in the Melbourne suburb of Mentone on a beautifully bright and sunny day. The city of Melbourne is in the Australian state of Victoria. A woman can be seen reading on the beach and other people are engaged in seaside activities. The original artwork was painted in 1888, and it is now part of the collection of the Art Gallery of South Australia.
