Located just outside Kuala Lumpur, Batu Caves is a striking Hindu temple complex nestled within limestone caves that are over 400 million years old. The site is dominated by a 42.7-metre-tall golden statue of Lord Murugan, the tallest of its kind in the world, standing at the base of 272 colourful steps leading to the caves.
