BAT MASTERSON LAWMEN LEGEND of the OLD WEST Poster
William Barclay "Bat" Masterson (November 26, 1853 – October 25, 1921) was a figure of the American Old West known as a buffalo hunter, U.S. Marshal and Army scout, avid fisherman, gambler, frontier lawman, and sports editor and columnist for the New York Morning Telegraph. He was the brother of lawmen James Masterson and Ed Masterson.
He was born near Quebec, Canada.
He worked as Deputy Marshal of Dodge City with Sheriff Wyatt Earp. Later, he worked as a manager for Earp in his saloons and gambling establishments.
Masterson was quite proficient with guns and never failed to heed one of his Lawmen brothers pleas for help.
He moved constantly from old west city to city working as lawmen, gambler, saloon manager, club owner, or newspaper man.
In New York, he wrote a three time weekly column entitled MASTERSON'S VIEWS on TIMELY TOPICS. He also penned many accounts of the old west and his association with the legends.
In 1921, he collapsed at his desk from a heart attack after penning what became his final column for the New York Morning Telegraph. On a page in the typewriter were his last recorded words: There are those who argue that everything breaks even in this old dump of a world of ours. I suppose these ginks who argue that way hold that because the rich man gets ice in the summer and the poor man gets it in the winter things are breaking even for both. Maybe so, but I'll swear I can't see it that way.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning! The print is precise, clear and of an excellent standard. It was cleverly packaged so there wasn’t a blemish or crease. Perfect!
