Barred Owl Portrait Tie
Barred Owl- Strix varia Usually found in dense conifer or mixed woodlands and swamps. This very robust species has moved West across North America threatening many western owl species which it competes with for food and territory. Like other owls it does not build a nest but lays its 3-4 eggs in a tree cavity or stump. Eggs hatch in about 4 weeks. Chicks are ready to leave the nest about 6 weeks later. Mainly nocturnal, but can be seen during the day.

I originally ordered 1 tie to test and ensure I liked it with the suits we had ordered! The tie came and it was perfect! We loved it! The colours were bright and the tie was beautifully made. I then ordered the 6 additional ties and the colours are slightly different. The 6 ties were a little less vibrant and the white background was slightly different!
