Colourized photo from 1941 Apr Original title: JH Parham, barber and notary public in his shop Location: Centralhatchee, Georgia Sometimes in a small town, you need to be a bit of everything. And sometimes the combinations are a bit strange. Take JH Parham for example, he is both the town barber and the notary public. So you can come in for a haircut, possibly even a shoe shine (there is polish on the shelf). Then walk back into the room and get your documents notarised. In the past the barber also served as a doctor as well, so I guess this isn't so bad when it comes to second jobs.
