Bannack Ghost Town Mainstreet 2 - Montana Poster
Bannack was a high desert gold rush boom town in the 1860's. It had all the drama and life of a western frontier mining town, but the gold played out and the miners left. The town struggled on for a few decades and finally died in the early 20th century. It is pretty much in a state of condition as the miners left it and run as a Montana State Park.
On the left is the Meade Hotel reputed to be the most haunted site in Bannack. On the right is Skinners Saloon, which was the favourite hangout of Outlaws, murderers, and drunks.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
