Baltusrol Country Club Mug

According to their Web site, Baltusrol Country Club in Springfield NJ, dates to 1895 and "is considered one of the country's premier private golf clubs" and has "hosted 16 national championships, including seven U.S. Opens and one PGA Championship." This ca. 1911 cartoon about Baltusrol dates to the early part of the 1900s and the club can be seen in the background. Although the club is in Springfield, apparently early members or visitors to the club who arrived by train would have to get off at Short Hills, so many early publications gave a Short Hills address for Baltusrol. If you are or are close to a golf enthusiast, this vintage Baltusrol golf club coffee or tea mug is a great small gift to remind you or your friend of the renowned golf course. The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
