Baltimore Baseball Club Champions 1894-95 Poster

Remembering the National League Baltimore Orioles, who dominated 1890s baseball with a brash style only Batimore could love. This poster is adapted from a program during the 1896 season, a season in which the Orioles would claim their third consecutive NL Pennant and finally win the Temple Cup, the predecessor to the World Series. The player pictured is Jack Doyle, who played 118 games for the Baltimore Baseball Club that season, batting .339.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
