I love this painting! There is a cute babirusa (a very strange little mammal with amazing tusks) that Matt & I visit a lot at a park near our home. Babirusas are kinda like little piggies, but thei have these crazy tusks that actually grow straight through their nostrils. Anyway, we were talking about how wicked their skulls must look - I found a museum site and indeed - their skulls are way cool. So I painted a creepy little girl holding one on her lap - there's a lot of strange stuff going on in this one, just humour me on this one, lol. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
