B-17 "Ye Olde Pub" Canvas Print

B-17 "Ye Olde Pub" Canvas Print

The B-17 named "Ye Olde Pub" was the bomber spared by German ace Franz Stigler, who approached the badly crippled aircraft, and instead of shooting it down, escorted the barely airworthy enemy to safe passage. The tailgunner was already dead, but Stigler could see other wounded airmen through the gaping holes in the fuselage. The bomber was in such pitiful condition, that Stigler couldn't bring himself to pull the trigger, and his story remained unknown for decades. Eventually the story was told, and Stigler and Capt. Charles Brown (The aircraft commander of "Ye Olde Pub") met and became the very best of friends.

I was apprehensive about ordering as I hadn't used our company before but I found the whole experience wonderful. I ordered my Eiffel Tower canvas in the size I needed to fit into my Niche and received it 7 days later. It was exactly as described on your site and looks wonderful handing on my wall. Would definitely use Zazzle again! The printing on the canvas is fantastic, very crisp and clean. Just as shown on your site.

Excellent, this was to replace a print that was damaged in transit. It is even better quality than the original one I had. The printing is amazing - and the colours are also incredible, far better than I expected.

The picture was as expected when creating the order. The frame is very strong and included a hook for ease of hanging. Printing was great! It was exactly as anticipated if not better.
