Ring-necked Pheasant in Snow Fleece Blanket. By far the most handsome of all the upland birds in south east Alberta, Canada is the male ring-necked pheasant. They are not a native bird they were imported from Asia and are actually called a Chinese ring-necked pheasant. This big male pheasant almost glows in the snow.
