This design features a painting by Ferdinand Hodler (1853–1918), who was one of the best-known Swiss painters of the nineteenth century. It shows a long dirt path receding into the distance with autumnal trees at the sides; brown leaves are falling on the path and the sun is setting on the horizon. The original work was created in 1892.
