Incorporated in 1854 Atlantic City is a resort destination in New Jersey. Known for its casinos, boardwalk, beaches and the hit tv show Jersey Shore.
Atlantic City inspired the U.S. version of the board game Monopoly. Since 1921, Atlantic City has been the host for the Miss America pageant. In 1976 voters legalized casino gambling. The first casino opened in 1978.
The first boardwalk was built in 1870 in an effort to help hotel owners keep sand out of their lobbies. When the season was over the boardwalk was removed until next year. Source: Wikipedia.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
