Atkinson Grimshaw Lady of Shalott CC0536 Card
John Atkinson Grimshaw - The Lady of Shalott, circa 1875. The Lady of Shalott is a Victorian ballad by the English poet Lord Alfred Tennyson. The poem recasts Arthurian subject matter loosely based on mediaeval sources. The Lady of Shalott suffers from a mysterious curse and must continually weave images without ever looking directly out at the world. The last stanzas describe the effect on the lady of seeing Sir Lancelot. She stops weaving and looks out of her window towards Camelot, bringing about the curse. She leaves her tower, finds a boat upon which she writes her name, and floats down the river to Camelot. This greeting card contains no text.

Lovely quality cards. Nice to get a real traditional Chrismassy theme in Australia, not the beach and Australian animals stuff. Excellent, would use again

Great researching old photos and creating a memorable card for my ex boss. She loves pink by the way! Great quality and images were clear, highly recommended for that personal touch
