For anyone that has lived with digital record-keeping a good number of years they will have come to appreciate the good old analogue way of doing things - no corrupted files, no "USB Not Found" errors, and on and on. Record your major purchases in this notebook for future reference, insurance claims, etc. Stick your receipts in, too, if you wish.
