Sir Lawrence Alma Tadema explores a story of young love in Ask Me No More. Unfortunately, it is not a story that ends well. Like Romeo and Juliet, the two lovers portrayed in the painting are pulled apart by forces that seem beyond their control. This painting is done in a Romantic style. Alma Tadema has picked a story which some of the people who view this painting may be familiar with. The lovers who are portrayed here are Pyramus and Thisbe. They both lived in Babylonia and from the time they were young children, they were neighbours.

I did order the puzzle in a 30 Oversized pieces format - however the puzzle pieces were small and as a result the puzzle could not be presented at the time of the proposal as it wouldve been rather time consuming! The printing turned out fine. The majority of colours were crisp and clear except for the gold border around the text - which turned out somewhat greenish
