Vintage illustration Art Nouveau advertising poster design featuring Divan Japonais by Henri de Toulouse Lautrec, 1893. The Victorian advertisement painting was commissioned by Edouard Fournier, owner of the Montmartre bar and night club Divan Japonais. The Café du Divan Japonais restaurant nightclub featured exotic touches such as bamboo furniture and paper lanterns in the Japanese style.
It was included in the Les Maitres de l'Affiche (Masters of the Poster) series of 256 colour lithographic plates used to create a very significant art publication during the Belle Époque in Paris, France.

I bought this as a little extra gift for my friend for her suprise bridal shower as we were doing a clay making class so it was to protect her outfit! But it’s so beautiful she is also going to keep it for her kitchen (she loves baking).
