Stylish and sophisticated but with a touch of fun. A Parisian lady dressed iin the high fashion of the day with her pet bird perched on one hand, the empty birdcage in the other. I love the surprised expression on her face.
Wonderful Art Deco palette of green, rose pink, black, taupe brown and dark gold with touches of bright blue, yellow, fuchsia pinkT and cerise red. This is an early Deco fashion illustration and one still senses the Art Nouveau influence here, yet the Deco high contrast and sense of fun are already shining brightly in this piece.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
