Diese schöne detailreiche Karte des Arktischen Ozeans veröffentlichte National Geographic im Oktober 1971 zusammen mit einer Karte des Arktischen Ozeanbodens. Beide Karten sind schöne Ergänzungen zu den beiden Atlantik-Karten von 1968 und der Pazifik-Karte von 1969. Die Karte enthält viele interessante historische Informationen und geografischer Besonderheiten. Sie finden darauf unter anderem vorherrschende Winde und Strömungen, Meerestiefen, Gebirgszüge, die nördliche Grenze des bewaldeten Landes, Seen, Flüsse, aber auch Städte, Straßen, Flughäfen und Eisenbahnstrecken. Ebenfalls eingezeichnet sind Expeditionsrouten. Eine schöne Karte für alle, die sich für diese eisige Gegend interessieren!

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
