This scene was photographed from Jacob's Crosscut Trail in the Superstition Wilderness just outside of the Lost Dutchman State Park. The Dutchman Jacob Waltz is said to have hidden a stash of gold in the the Superstition Mountains area, and treasure hunters continue to search for it to this day.
