About This Design

Arabic Geometric Pattern Wooden Effect Watch

Arabic Geometric Pattern Wooden Effect Watch

I have always been quite fascinated by M.C Escher's artistic work, including his work on tessellations inspired by Arabic geometric designs, as seen in both tiled and painted walls from mosques, and in illuminated Qurans. I think it's a beautiful aesthetic, and I have made a few designs based on the ideas of its sacred geometry. When I was working on this relatively simple pattern, with a division of twelve, I thought it would be perfect for a clockface, and so I added markers for minutes and hours and filled the shapes with my detailed scans of wooden veneers for a nice, organic look.

I was really impressed with the quality of this product, it is so sleek looking and looks really good on. I really like this style of watch and the artwork has a nice design with an urban, young vibe to it. I really like it! The artwork is really clean and tidy, it works because the Artwork design is simple and not cluttered, yet effective. It is quite a bulky watch but you get use to it after a while. Worth the buy I reckon!

Very easy to create a unique watch that I know my husband will love. I particularly liked how easy it was to see exactly how my image would fit in the circle, and I could overlay the numbers clearly. Very clear! Love it!
