Aquamarine on Feldspar, (ex-collection Matthew Webb), Shigar Valley, Baltistan, Pakistan, 5 1/4" tall. SOLD This Aqua crystal is gemmy and clear from the base to the termination with fascinating floating wisps looking like stratus clouds gently hanging in the clear blue sky. Scattered about are thin wiry black crystal inclusions in bursts of (what I believe to be) Stibiotantalite crystals. The Termination is like a faceted stone. It has sharp clean complex faces that echo the overall angular shape of the specimen. The matrix to crystal ratio is perfect. The Feldspar matrix is a lustrous glistening white. This Aqua is among the most perfect gem crystals on matrix we have owned.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
